Dilly Beans

For 4 lbs of string beans
5 c vinegar
5 c water
1/2 c salt
Boil liquids and salt together.
Pack raw beans tightly into jars.
To each jar add:
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp whole mustard seed
1/2 tsp dill seed
Clove garlic/jar, blanched.
Pour vinegar mixture over beans up to 1/2 inch from the top of the jar.
Process in boiling water bath for 5 - 10 minutes
